Inside little giggles
This is the entryway to little giggles daycare! We are at 67 Dayton road for those of you wondering, we have the whole house although we do have a bachelor apartment int he basement. Large parking area for parents to park to pick up and drop off their children. The lawn is always kept mowed in the summer and the driveway is plowed most of the time in the winter as I do not have the opportunity to all the time due to early drop offs in the morning.
Once you walk into little giggles daycare this is what you are going to see! This is where you are asked to "unpack" your child's belongings. There is numerous coat hooks for children's coats and sweaters, a cubby for their back packs and a shoe rack for their shoes and boots (There is currently a runner at the door to save the puddles from the snow) This is a older picture. Notices will be posted on the wall when you first walk in and if there is a day that little giggles is to close there is usually a sign for a reminder about a week in advance!
This is our living room / dining area, a large space for children to do all kinds of different things! We have play dough for the children to play with, we have dance offs in the living room sometimes, we have made blanket fortes MANY times and had picnics on the floor instead of at the table. This is where a lot of the infants play (When I have them) it gives them a place to play where it is not as busy as we have lots of stimulating toys for them to play with. The dining area is also where crafts and messy activities happen if it is not nice enough to go outside on the deck.
This is were our bulletin board is and also our "thinking" stools. The bulletin has everything on it, information about my licence as a in home daycare, fire exit directions, meal plan, calender, information about P.A.C meetings, phone numbers for important people (emergency #'s, director, consultant etc) copy of our handbook and behavior handbook, certificate for my CPR safety training.
This is where the children's jackets are hung up and the bags are kept when you first come up our stairs.
Play Kitchen area, We have some empty boxes of different grocery items as well as a cash register. Plates utensils and other kitchen things. Occasionally we put water in the sink and have a wash and dry cloth next to the kitchen as well. The children have fun pretending to cook and clean for each other. We are currently looking for somethings to add such as a shopping cart and basket, a vacuum cleaning things such as a broom, a mop, and some cloths and empty spray bottles.
This is a piece of my kitchen, it is very big! (Will get pictures of the whole kitchen soon!) Now we have baby gates at both entrances (dining room and den) to keep my little turkey bird from going into everything.
We make messes in here and this is also obviously where lunches and snacks are made. Please note that anyone that brings there own dishes that they will not be cleaned... only rinsed and put into your child's bag.
